Happy Halloween!!

Cash slept through most of the Trick or Treating, but Sissy had a great time visiting, getting goodies (especially MawMaw's cooked cabbage), and carving pumpkins :)

Cash's One Year Check-up

On another note, Cash did have his 12 month check-up, but was running a fever, so we had to go back and get his shots last week....here's how he measured up - Height: 29-1/2" (50th percentile), Weight: 20 lbs 8-1/2 oz (25th percentile), and Head Circumference: 18-1/2" (50th-75th percentile). Looks like he's a little scrawny - He needs to stop eating #2 baby food, and move on up.....he has texture issues he inherited from his daddy and sissy :(

Happy !st Birthday Cash!!

Cash turned one year old on October 17th, and we had a great big bash to celebrate. He had so many people, we had to make them eat in the garage!! Luckily there's lot's of room and a heater out there, so it wasn't too bad! Thanks to everyone who came to enjoy his special day, and for those of you who couldn't - here's some of the highlights and lowlights - he was a very grumpy boy toward the end - too much partyin'

Zoo Trip

The family took a trip to the Cincinnati Zoo on Saturday and had a wonderful time.....Cash even got to feed the goats, but daddy never could catch it on camera :)

Cash is Movin'

Well as of Friday we have a "crawler" on our hands. Cash has learned how to crawl, and now mama and daddy have their hands full!!! No more setting him in the floor and letting him play by himself...now we have to keep a watchful eye on him. He's into everything, especially the things he knows he shouldn't have. Mama left her coffee in the floor this morning while I was setting with him, and he went straight for it :) I'll have to remember to keep things out of his reach now :) He also has a little tooth poking through finally....he seems to have been teething for a while now, I was beginning to wonder if we were ever going to see anything :)

Party Like A Rockstar!!!!!

I think I may have this video thing figured out :):) Check out my little rockstar and his Hannah Montana guitar!!! He was rockin' much harder before I got the camera out, but I guess that's how it works with the little ones.....they never do what you want them to on camera :)

Summer Fun

We've been spending a lot of time outside the past couple of days in Sierra and Cash's new blow up pool. The Cashman tried it out one time, but the water from the hose was way too cold for him...he would much rather it be like bath water :):):). I'm going to try again one day after it's been setting in the sun. I know how he feels...Sierra got a big cup full of icy cold water and poured it over my head!!! What a little stinker!!! Byron helped Sierra and Lakin fish in our pond too. They both caught a fish all by themselves :):) I LOVE SUMMER!!!!

Busy Busy Bickett's

It's been very busy around our house the last couple of weeks so I just decided to share a few pics on here. There's Sierra's 1st communion, one from Abby's wedding, and a few misc. ones....By the way, it was really great to see everyone last weekend :)

Sunny Spring Days!

Cash got to enjoy being outside the last two days - he had a big time watching mama and daddy do yard work and soak up some rays. He's not used to that wind stuff blowing in his face though, it took his breath away every time it would blow (kinda like a dog with his head out the car window).

By the way....Ms. Sierra is going to be having her First Communion on Saturday, May 16th at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Raywick at 4:30 p.m. After that we will be having a reception for her at our house if anyone would like to come. Everyone is invited to come and join us on this joyous occasion.

Cash's 6 Month Check-up

The Cashman had his 6 month check-up on Friday, and here are all of his vitals....
Height: 27" (50-75 percentile)
Weight: 15 lbs 14 oz. (25 percentile)
Head: 17" (25-50 percentile) I can't believe it's actually small - I guess it's because it's so round LOL
Everything seems to be going great for him...he's growing like a weed!! Mama just can't believe he's getting so big!! Time goes by entirely too fast!!

Family Fun

Thursday we took Sierra to Keeneland, and boy did she enjoy herself. We would let her go out to the paddock and pick her horse, then we bet it for her. It was too funny watching her cheer her horse on....she was yelling and screaming with the best of them. She got mad when her horse didn't win too....I think she might have just a hint of a temper - lol. One of her horses did show though, so that made her very happy. Cash didn't make the trip with us, he stayed at Nana Sharon's for the afternoon....I think hauling him around all day would have been a bit much - maybe we'll take him to pick his ponies in a few years. With a name like Cash, we don't want to get him started gambling too early!!!! One more note (this will make Maw Maw very happy), Cash slept in his bed last night all by himself - no car seat!!! I'm so proud of my big boy!!!

Check Out My New Do!!

Mama and Daddy have been nursing the Cashman's 3rd ear infection. Poor little feller, that right ear has been quite the trouble maker. He's feeling better now, and loves going around with his new hair do....mama has gotten into the habit of fixing him a "faux-hawk" There's not much hair there to work with, but I can still manage. I figure I can give him ridiculous hairstyles now while he's too young to fight back, besides you have to have a microscope to even see it :)

Happy (Early) Easter

Just like Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny makes an early trip to our house every year. This year he came while we where gone to a cook out. When we got home he had left us a card and all kinds of treasures. Two little kids must have been very good this year, check out all this stuff!!!

I think I'll set up and watch tv mom

Well, it's been almost a month since my last update...it's been busy around the Bickett household the last couple of weeks with mama trying to get all of her school stuff taken care of. Anyway the Cashman turned 5 months old on St. Patrick's day and has had a week full of firsts :) On Saturday he had his first encounter with baby food, and boy did he like it. He absolutely loves him some green beans....he can eat a whole jar in less than 5 minutes. I guess he gets that from his sissy because that is one of her favorite foods. Hopefully he'll enjoy his veggies as much as she does :)
Then much to my surprise, daddy called me from the babysitters this morning and informed me that my little man was now setting up like a big boy...I was so excited, but a little sad I wasn't there to see it :( I got a show when I went to pick him up though, he was so proud of himself :) He also put on a show for sissy when she got home, hope you enjoy the picks of these two little angels!!!

The little Cashman had his 4 month check-up yesterday and was such a little trooper. He now weighs 14 lbs and 1 oz and is 25.5" long. He did good when he got his shots, but the after effects left much to be desired. He cried all night and then all day today.....but he seems to be feeling better now. They also checked his ear and said that his first bout with an ear infection had cleared up (thank goodness). We did get some bad news though, it seems like every time we give him frozen milk, it upsets his little belly, so the doctor said only fresh milk for him. She said some babies just can't take it after it's been frozen. I have no idea what I'm going to do with the almost 6 gallons I have in the freezer - maybe that lady with the 8 babies would like it :) We're going to start trying to give him some rice cereal on a regular basis now too, and maybe try some veggies at about 6 months....his belly doesn't react well to change, so we'll be waiting a little longer than usual. I know all the other baby cousins are already pigging out on some veggies - I think Cash is a little jealous :):):)

Sierra's 8th Birthday

We celebrated Sierra's 8th birthday this weekend and boy was it a party!!! She had a wonderful time with all of her buddies (8 girls in all). We had pizza, ate cupcakes, had a scavenger hunt, watched movies, and had fun all around. I know I never had such a big party when I was little - she sure is a lucky girl :)

Stinky Weather

We're all so tired of all of this nasty weather!!!! I personally cannot wait for spring!!! We all did pretty well throughout this whole ordeal....Sierra didn't have any electricity at her mom's for 6 whole days, but she was a lot luckier than some of our other family members (Dawn and Lisa for example). We were lucky to have only been without electricity for two days and all I can say is Thank God for MawMaw and Judy!!! They were only without for about 2 hours, and graciously opened their homes to pretty much anyone that needed a warm place to stay. It was actually pretty fun :) I have some pictures of the kids we had made a couple of weeks ago to add, but haven't had the chance with all this stinky weather - hope you enjoy :)
