Christmas Time

Well I am glad to report that the Cashman has been sleeping in his bed for over a week now, and is doing wonderfully. Mom is also over the initial shock of letting him cry himself to sleep....now it's rare to hear him get upset and when he does, it's usually no more than 5 minutes and he's out like a light. If I had known it was going to be so peaceful at night, I would have done this much sooner (yes daddy, you were right!!!). We had a wonderful Christmas holiday at the Bickett household, less the stomach virus daddy caught from my mamaw and papaw. Luckily no one else received that little present. We hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas, now we're looking forward to a Happy and Healthy New Year for all. Enjoy these new pics until next time - especially Cash and all of his little cousins - cuteness definitely runs in this family!!!!

2 Month Check-up

Yesterday the Cash-man had his 2 month check-up, and he was such a trooper. He only cried when his shots went in and was perfectly happy shortly there after. The good news is that he is growing very well, at a whopping 11 lbs 12 oz, and 23 inches long - what a big boy :) The bad news is that at bedtime mama has to start letting him self-soothe instead of rocking him (he's become down right rotten). Daddy and I are actually trying that for the first time right at this moment, and it's killing my soul. He's in his bed crying his little eyes out, and mama's working on the computer doing the same. I guess you gotta do what you gotta do :( Oh well, hopefully he'll fall asleep soon, this is absolute torture!! On a happier note, there's some new pics of his big day...the first one is of Mamaw Lynn holding him before the mean lady came in with the needles, the second one is the mean lady (my friend Kim) holding him after she did the evil deed, and the last one is Papaw Lynn looking less than excited about giving the little man his bottle (it was his first time - he really was excited despite his expression).

Just some more pictures of the little man - he gets his shots tomorrow...yuck!! Good thing Mamaw Lynn will be there, this could be stressful on mama. We'll also get to see how big a feller he is now.

Thank God For Daddy's Drinking!!!

Yesterday the most scary event I have ever witnessed up to this point in my life occurred. This is how it unfolded - we were visiting MawMaw Bickett after church and Brad went to give Cash to her.....as he turned around, his little cousin Pat got underneath his feet and tripped him....Brad fell down face first with Cash in his arms, did a flip, and landed on his back - all the while managing to hold Cash in the air, and keep him from hitting any of the surrounding furniture!!! He even managed to keep him asleep!!! It all happened so fast mama didn't know what to do, luckily daddy did. After the initial shock wore off, daddy chalked his acrobatic ability up to all of those years of trying not to spill his beer when he was drinking.....whatever it was, thank God for it!!!! Let's all make sure we're careful at MawMaw Caldwell's on Saturday - with all of the little ones, we'll all have to watch our steps!!

Merry Christmas From the Family

Santa Claus came to the Bickett house on Friday night, and boy did he leave a lot of stuff!!! Sierra must have been a very good girl this year!!! I think our favorite present was definately the tent she got for her bed - we all had to get in it and try it out. Cash got a highchair - very exciting I know. As you can see from the pics, he slept through most of the holiday festivities. Daddy was so tired from putting everything together that he had to catch a cat nap in Sierra's new Hannah Montana sleeping bag :) We can't wait to share Christmas with everyone else - and meet all the new arrivals!!! Merry Christmas to all!!!

Christmas Time's A Comin'

There's too much excitement around the Bickett household these days. Santa Claus is coming to our house early because Sierra won't be here on Christmas. Our big day is going to be Saturday, and I know one very excited little girl. She can't wait to spend her first Christmas with her baby brother.....daddy and I are excited too. Cash did catch mama's cold, but is feeling much better now....unfortunately daddy's the one suffering now. Hopefully we'll all be up to par by Saturday. Can't wait to share our Christmas pics!!!

Thank God My Boy Feels Better!!!

Well yesterday's doctors appointment brought mama and daddy some good news on our little man. His belly troubles have been caused due to reflux, and all mama can say is thank God for Zantac....it was almost like immediate relief for the Cash-man. I was also glad to hear that even with all his tummy troubles, he's still growing like a weed - yesterday he was a whopping 11 lbs 0.2 oz!!!! What a big boy!!!! Watch out Cole, Holland and Joseph, now that he has his appetite back, he's liable to pass everyone!!!
We also got good news today.....mama took him in for an abdominal ultrasound to check his liver (because of the calcification's they saw in the womb), and to check his stomach just to make sure there wasn't anything going on there to make his belly hurt. He did scream during the whole thing (about 30 minutes), but it was well worth it. They called this afternoon and said that all of the calcification's were gone, and that everything looked good with his stomach. Now maybe mama, daddy and sissy will get back that happy baby we had a couple of weeks ago.....we're all just thankful he seems to be feeling so much better. Maybe now we can all get some rest.
Mama does have a cold right now, let's just hope he doesn't catch that....I'd hate for him to get sick right after we just got him feeling better. Here's some more pictures of the little guy looking much happier with his daddy, and Sissy and Dade looking festive :) :)

Sorry for the delay :(

Sorry we haven't had any new pics on here for a while....our internet has been acting up, but I think we've finally got everything worked out now. The little man has not been doing so hot here lately......he's having some serious belly issues. Last night he had the whole household awake, and had Sierra worried about her little brother. All the screaming he was doing will do that to a child. Mama's going to take him to the doctor today and see if there is anything we can do to help the little fella out, (and let the rest of us get some sleep). We'll let you know how things go.........here's a few pictures for right now, when he's feeling better I'll post some more. I'm sure screaming baby isn't what anyone wants to look at right know :(
